Glazes

A modern take on a traditional Japanese oribe glaze, Satin Oribe adds a wonderful blue-green burnished look to your wares. Over texture, the dark green pools and light grey breaks bring an extra level of depth to this opaque glaze. Purple Crystal is a matte violet glaze for Cone 5 that becomes glossy deep indigo with purple crystal floats at Cone 6. Honey Flux is a creamy color that increases flow when layered over glazes. Opaque honey and cream at Cone 5 that shifts to a beautiful fluid white with honey flecks at Cone 6.​ Glaze fire to Cone 5-6. Due to variations in raw materials used during manufacturing, we recommend firing glazed test tiles before using each new batch number of glaze.

PC-18 Tuscan Blue is a deep blue, semi-matte glaze that breaks light blue to moss green over texture. Layers well over AMACO Celadons, other Potter's Choice and Satin Matte glazes. Glaze layering fired results may run if paired with a runny glaze. We recommend testing any layering combination prior to putting it on a full ceramic piece. Shake well before use. For best results, do not thin the glaze and apply 3 brush coats to Cone 04 bisque. (Let the glaze dry between coats.) Glaze fire to Cone 5-6.
